====================================== Installation Instructions ====================================== All fixes are zipped to a single file to simplify the download process. The fixes contained in the attached ZIP file are drop-in replacements for existing Industrial Automation OPC Server components. To apply a fix for a given component, first rename the original file then copy the fixed version of the file to the Industrial Automation OPC Servers directory. For example, to update the NI_OPC_Server.dll, 1) Quit Industrial Automation OPC Servers and close all client applications. 2) Rename C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Industrial Automation OPC Servers\NI_OPC_Server.dll to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Industrial Automation OPC Servers\NI_OPC_Server.bak 3) Extract the fixed version of NI_OPC_Server.dll to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Industrial Automation OPC Servers 4) Restart Industrial Automation OPC Server, or re-establish client connections 5) This update contains a registry update called IAOPCServer.reg. Extract, then double-click this file to update the Windows registry. Back up the original files before replacing them with the updates. If you want to keep the original copy of a DLL in the Industrial Automation OPC Servers folder, make sure you change the extension, for example: NI_OPC_Server.bak ====================================== Summary of Updates ====================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.
